• Ensuring that international trade agreements (existing and new) do not negatively effect supply management and its three pillars (import control, production planning, and producer pricing). Known agreements include the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), World Trade Organization (WTO), the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), and Canada-Europe Trade Agreement (CETA), and there may be future international trade agreements as well.
• Implementing and protecting measures that ensure supply management, and dairy in particular, continues in Canada

• Ensuring that the Agreement on Internal Trade continues to allow for the full function of supply management in Canada without interference
