Présentation des membres québécois de l'Independent Telecommunication Providers Association (ITPA). Sensibilisation du CRTC aux défis auxquels sont confrontés ces membres. Ceux-ci comptent parmi les petits fournisseurs les plus lourdement réglementés de l’industrie (obligation de servir, plafonnement des prix, tarifs réglementés, etc.). Les procédures réglementaires et les obligations en matière de rapports et de conformité sont particulièrement onéreuses pour eux. En plus, le maintien des réseaux de télécommunications requiert des investissements continuels et ces investissements sont difficiles à rentabiliser en l’absence de densité de population.
