IT OPERATES RESEARCH LABORATORIES IN POINTE-CLAIRE, QUEBEC, AND VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, AND EDUCATION AND POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH PROGRAMS AT THE PULP AND PAPER RESEARCH CENTRE AT MCGILL UNIVERSITY, THE PULP AND PAPER CENTER AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA, AND ON THE CAMPUS OF ECOLE POLYTECHNIQUE. APPROXIMATELY 375 SCIENTISTS, ENGINEERS, AND SUPPORT PEOPLE WORK AT THESE LOCATIONS. THE OPERATING COSTS OF PAPRICAN'S RESEARCH AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS ARE BORNE LARGELY BY THE INSTITUTE'S MAINTAINING MEMBER COMPANIES. OUR PROGRAM INCLUDES APPLIED RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER, AND TECHNICAL SERVICE. OUR EDUCATION PROGRAM INCLUDES POSTGRADUATE AND CONTINUING EDUCATION TO TRAIN SCIENTISTS AND ENGINEERS FOR THE PULP AND PAPER INDUSTRY. | ||||||||||
