THE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTS THE VIEWS OF ITS MEMBERS TO GOVERNMENTS ACROSS CANADA THROUGH DIRECT CONTACT PROGRAMS, SUBMISSIONS TO LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEES AND THE COMMISSIONING OF RESEARCH REPORTS. THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES A NUMBER OF SERVICES INCLUDING: RESEARCH AND STATISTICS ON SALES, TRENDS, EMPLOYMENT AND CONSUMER BEHAVIOUR; ADVICE ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF INDUSTRY RECYCLING AND OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS; INFORMATION ON THE RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES; AND, PROGRAMS ON FOOD ALLERGIES, INGREDIENT DISCLOSURE, SANITATION AND OTHER SAFETY MEASURES. OTHER SERVICES TO CRFA MEMBERS INCLUDE: THE ORGANIZATION OF NATIONAL TRADE SHOWS AND SEMINARS; CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS FOR MANAGERS, GROUP BUYING; AND, DISCOUNT PROGRAMS IN AREAS RANGING FROM CREDIT CARDS TO FUEL PURCHASES. |
