It is a vertically-integrated concern specializing in the organization, marketing and distribution of holiday travel products and services. The core of its business consists of major wholly-owned travel wholesalers based in Canada (Transat Tours Canada), France (Look Voyages / Vacances Transat France) and the United Kingdom (Canadian Affair). Transat is also involved in air transport through its airline subsidiary Air Transat, which operates services from 10 Canadian gateways to 82 destinations on three continents. Finally, Transat owns and operates Canada's largest retail travel agency distribution network and offers airport handling and passenger services through its subisidiary Handlex.
