THE ASSOCIATION MAINTAINS AN ONGOING LIAISON WITH OFFICIALS OF NUMEROUS GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES WHICH HAVE RESPONSIBILITIES AFFECTING THE FISHERIES INDUSTRY. PROMINENT AMONG THESE ARE THE FEDERAL DEPARTMENTS OF FISHERIES AND OCEANS, EXTERNAL AFFAIRS AND INTERNATIONAL TRADE, TRANSPORT; THE NOVA SCOTIA DEPARTMENT OF FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE; AND THE CANADIAN FOOD INSPECTION AGENCY. |
