We address a variety of issues including: caring for family and friend caregivers, the need to support the home and community care sector, the need to find ways to improve the health status of First Nations Peoples and the benefit of supporting the voluntary sector. VON Canada secures contracts through the Merx system and other processes with non political staff to deliver services that will improve the health and social well being of Canadians. For example, we offer home support service to our Veterans. Raising awareness politically and seeking contracts are done independently of one another. | ||||
