Objets poursuivis : Renseignements rétrospectifs : | 1) Informal communications, meetings, presentations to, and written correspondence with senior officials (including Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Assistant Deputy Ministers, Directors General and the Federal Advisor on Wait Times) from Health Canada to discuss a range of health system issues including: funding; the reduction of wait times (including operating principles) and the implementation of benchmarks; the reprocessing of single-use medical devices; the public/private mix in the delivery and funding of health services; follow-up to the Supreme Court Chaoulli ruling; health system governance and organizational effectiveness; health human resources; and public health. 2) Telephone conversations with senior provincial and federal government officials to discuss CHA's work on health system governance and accountability.3) Meeting with the Canada Revenue Agency to discuss the amendments to the health system GST rebate. 4) Presentation of CHA's pre-budget brief to members of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance. 5) Meeting with the Prime Minister's Deputy Chief of Staff to discuss the privatization in the funding and delivery of health services; wait times; and the electronic health record.6) Together with colleagues from the Canadian Medical Association, Canadian Nurses Association, Canadian Pharmacists Association and Health Action Lobby, the dissemination of a joint vision statement to political parties. 7) Hosted a national Health System Effectiveness Roundtable, which was funded by Health Canada and drew health system leaders and representatives from public and private organizations across Canada. 8) Congratulatory letters to newly-appointed senators and the Federal Advisor on Wait Times. | ||||||
