Legislative Proposal, Bill or Resolution
- Providing input to certain government departments and agencies regarding Bills C-68 (An Act to amend the Fisheries Act and other Acts in consequence) and C-69 (An Act to enact the Impact Assessment Act and the Canadian Energy Regulator Act, to amend the Navigation Protection Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts), with a focus on project review timelines and clarity on scope; may include discussions at CEPA-organized events.
- To discuss the value of Bill S-229, Underground Infrastructure Safety Enhancement Act, to public, worker and community safety (consultation with Alberta One-Call).
- To seek termination of a memorandum of understanding between the federal government and the Corporation, which will lead to the variation of Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No. GC-30. National Energy Board Act (R.S.C., 1985, c. N-7)
Policies or Program
- Providing input to certain government departments and agencies (including the National Energy Board and Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency) at CEPA organized events, on pipeline-related matters. Includes discussing project review timelines (NEB), role of regulators in pipeline safety (NEB), opportunities for industry-wide safety improvements (NEB) and environmental regulation (CEAA).

Description of activities
