- Représentations pour sensibiliser les décideurs, tant provinciaux que fédéraux, aux problèmes rencontrés par les entreprises québécoises dans l'application de la Loi canadienne sur l'évaluation environnementale (2012). Dans le cadre de ces représentations, une liste de projets a, notamment, été transmise aux décideurs, laquelle spécifie les projets pour lesquels il serait opportun et approprié, pour les gouvernements provincial et fédéral, de conclure des ententes d'équivalence.
- Représentations visant à éviter la mise en place d'un double-régime, au provincial et au fédéral, lequel surviendrait, pour les entreprises québécoises, s'il advenait que le Système de plafonnement et d'échange de droits d'émission de gaz à effet de serre (SPEDE) provincinal et les standards de performance fédéraux soient appliqués en même temps.
Policies or Program
- Le budget 2016 du Canada prévoit l'établissement du Fonds pour une économie à faibles émissions de carbone. Les représentations visent à demander qu'une partie des sommes de ce Fonds soit dédiée au secteur industriel, notamment pour la recherche et le développement de technologies à faible empreinte carbone, et à demander la mise en place de fonds dédiés qui permettraient de financer des projets de captation et de séquestration du CO2 à la cheminée, afin de réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre du Canada.

- Démarches concernant le Cadre réglementaire sur les polluants atmosphériques afin de s'assurer que les normes qui seront adoptées soient adaptées à la réalité des entreprises.

Description of the organization's activities
Crée en 1992, le Conseil patronal de l’environnement du Québec (CPEQ) regroupe des entreprises ainsi que des associations sectorielles d’entreprises dont les activités peuvent entraîner des conséquences sur l’environnement et qui, de ce fait, sont préoccupées par les enjeux d’environnement et de développement durable. Le rôle du CPEQ consiste à agir comme porte-parole des entreprises du Québec dans le domaine de l’environnement et du développement durable et à demeurer la référence pour elles dans ces domaines en mobilisant, influençant, éduquant, sensibilisant et en informant.
Le Conseil patronal de l’environnement du Québec constitue une vitrine collective où chaque entreprise peut faire valoir ses intérêts et préoccupations. Il constitue la voie unifiée des entreprises du Québec dans le domaine de l’environnement et de développement durable et permet de coordonner les actions dans ces domaines.
