The Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (formerly the Canadian Chemical Producers’ Association (CCPA)), founded in 1962 and renamed in 2009, has a membership of more than 50 companies, is an association of chemistry industry leaders committed to sustainability through Responsible Care. The mission of the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada is to create value for its members by providing information, policy analysis, advocacy, partnerships, and collective initiatives. With members and partners, the association works together to promote the growth and development of all phases of the Canadian industry to be the most environmentally, socially, and economically successful group of companies in the world. Our mission is to create a positive business environment for investment and growth in Canada’s value-added chemistry companies; and through world class companies working together as leaders in Responsible Care, create value for our economy and provide solutions to the environmental, health and economic challenges facing Canadians. On July 1, 2020, the Association officially launched a Plastics Division, welcoming the members of the former Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA) as part of the CIAC team. CIAC now represents the entire plastics industry value chain from resin producers and raw material suppliers to processors and converters, as well as equipment manufacturers, recyclers, and brand owners. The Association represents over 100 chemistry and plastics members combined.
