Met with officials from Department of Public Safety and Prime Ministers Office. Held Joint Meeting with Canadian Associatin of Chiefs of Police, Canadian Police Association and government representatives. Issued several bulletins and quarterly newsletters to members. Will send resolutions passed by members at 2007 Conference to Minister of Public Safety, Minister of Justice and Industry Minister. Issues to bring forward in next six months: National Drug Strategy and Drug Treatment Courts, Funding for 2500 new police officers, Lawful access, funding for studies related to internet crime; funding for a national police governance resource project; Set up meetings with Minister of Public Safety and senior staff, Minister of Justice and senior staff and Industry Minister and senior staff to discuss resolutions.
