Worked on successful proposal to the Minister of Public Safety. Met with officials from Department of Public Safety and Prime Ministers Office. Held Annual General Meeting and Annual Conference in Calgary, Alberta. Issued several bulletins and 2 quarterly newsletters to members. Issues brought forward in next six months: National Drug Strategy and Drug Treatment Courts, Funding for 2500 new police officers, Lawful access, funding for studies related to internet crime; funding for a national police governance resource project; Set up meetings with Minister of Public Safety and senior staff, Minister of Justice and senior staff and Industry Minister and senior staff to discuss resolutions.
