It holds an annual conference, provides information bulletins and a quarterly newsletter, and presents issues to federal officials on behalf of its membership.

Subject Matter: Retrospective: Held six board of directors meetings via teleconference, 2006 annual conference and meeting in Edmonton, submitted resolutions from the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which form the basis of lobbying efforts for coming year; issued several bulletins and quarterly newsletters to members. Met with officials from Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Canada (PSEPC) and Prime Ministers Office (PMO) to discuss resolutions.
Subject Matter: Prospective: 2007 Annual Joint meeting with Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) and Canadian Police Association (CPA) boards to be held in March, meeting with Ministry of Public Safety & Ministry of Justice officials to discuss concerns and present resolutions; will communicate with members through bulletins and quarterly newsletters; will be holding three board of directors meetings. Will attend Police Association Advisory Committee (PAAC) meetings with Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Canada (PSEPC). Will be submitting proposals for funding for various projects.
