In regards to the United Nation's Rio Plus blueprint document, we are encouraging the Canadian delegation to include a reference to the important role co-operatives play in promoting sustainable development practices; moving the world towards a more green economy and working to eradicate poverty.
Participating in the federal government's consultation in respect to supporting the development of a framework for the orderly and equitable demutualization of federally regulated property and casualty (P&C) mutual insurance companies.
Supporting the renewal and expansion of the Co-operative Development Initiative (CDI) which is a partnership program between Canada’s two national co-op organizations and the federal government that targets job creation by supporting the promotion and development of new and emerging co-operatives.
