- Implementation of National Pharmacare, specifically the ODA is supporting the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) as it engages the Government of Canada on this initiative, particularly as it concerns the taxation of health and dental benefits as a possible means of subsidizing a public program.
- Tax Planning Using Private Corporations, the ODA has publicly supported, and encouraged its members to support, the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) in its engagement of the Department of Finance Canada on the proposals outlined in the Tax Planning Using Private Corporations document.

Description of the organization's activities
Since 1867, the ODA has been the voluntary professional association representing the dentists of Ontario. The ODA is Ontario’s primary source of information on oral health and on the dental profession. We advocate with a unified voice for accessible and sustainable optimal oral health for all Ontarians. Working with health-care professionals, governments, the private sector and the public, the ODA promotes the highest standards of dental care and the critical role of the dentist as the leader of the oral health-care team.

The voting members of the ODA are Councillors of the General Council, composed of representatives of each Component Society and Student Dental Society. Dentists who voluntarily join the Association, ODA Dentists and are divided into the following categories - active, affiliate, salaried, Canadian Forces, non-registered retired, second year new dentists, post-grad/intern/resident, part-time/semi-retired/registered-retired, and parental.
