Legislative Proposal
|
National Round Table on Sustainable Infrastructure--The NRTSI proposal would involve the legislative creation of an impartial, expert, advisory body that would counsel the federal government on the investment, and the policy measures required to rehabilitate Canada's aging civil works. It would include independent experts involved in the designing, planning, valuation, construction, maintenance and renewal of Canada's road and water systems. Under CCPE's vision the NRTSI would report to the Deputy Head of Infrastructure Canada, the highest-ranking public servant in the department, who reports directly to the Lead Minister for Infrastructure.
