Policies or Program
- Improve timeliness and predictability of Canada's export control regime so that they do not place Canadian exporters at a competitive disadvantage compared to NATO allies.
- Modernizing Canada's defence and security procurement process with respect to the full spectrum of policies and procedures in Department of National Defence (DND), Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) and Public Service and Procurement Canada (PSPC) with a goal of streamlining and increasing effectiveness.
- Modernizing Canada’s procurement processes for cyber, ICT and related emerging and disruptive technologies so they can proceed more quickly.
- To address taking a more managed approach to federal shipbuilding procurement and programs in accordance with the federal government's National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS).
- To monitor and improve the Industrial Technological Benefit/Value Proposition policy so that the Government of Canada leverages defence procurements to maximum economic, trade and industrial value, including further developing Key Industrial Capabilities.
- To raise awareness of the economic and national security contributions by the Canadian defence industry and the national security and economic value of having a robust, sustainable domestic defence industrial base.
