- Title: Development of Psilocybin Access for Medical Purposes Regulations, and related regulations under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Food and Drugs Act.
Description: The lobbying activity is directed to establishment of regulations under the CDSA and FDA that allow access to regulated psilocybin products for medical purposes, consistent with Canada’s obligations under United Nations drug control conventions. This regulation would support medical access for patients and access for training purposes for physicians.
This activity proposes changes to Parts G and J of the Food and Drug Regulations, and creation of new regulations that are under the CDSA and the FDA. No changes to any Act of Parliament are proposed - only regulations under the FDA and CDSA.
