- Pest Control Products Act - within the Pest Control Products Acr there are provisions to consider the mutual accpetance of registration data provided to regiseter pesticides in other jursidications ( United Staes, Australia, European Union ) to enhance co-operation, and harmonization or mutual recognition agreements with the Environmental Protection Agency in the United States or regulatory bodies in the Eurpoean Union which impact pestcide regulation.Utilization of such provisions is encouraged in the interest of effeciency and competitive advancge for Canadian interests.

- natural health product certification- seek resolution to contradictory directives within Health Canada from the the Natural Health Products Directorate and the Food Products Directorate regarding whether a food product can also be considered a natural health product.

- Within the Pest Control Products Act the provsions related to pesticide maximum residue levels includes the latitiude for phasing out the current long standing maximum residue default level of 0.1 parts per million and moving to a zero tolerance level of 0.0 parts per million for any pesticides that have no tolerance otherwise registered in Canada. Any movement toward to implimentation of this provision is impactful to industry and requires ongoing consultaion between regulators ( Pest Managme Regulatory Agency of Health Canada ) and the Tea industry.
