Class determinants for immigration purpses "Family, Economic ...and working to ensure a policy favourable to construction exists

- A Pilot program aimed at testing the feasibility / applicability of labour mobility between areas of higher unemployment and labour shortages. This pilot program would grant favoured tax status (as outlined in Bill C-227) to pilot participants travelling to obtain full time employment in a trade deemed to be experiencing labour shortages.

Human Resources and Skills Development and the Red Seal Secretariat to continue to promote and use the Red Seal Program
Assist with National Occupational Compentencies analysis for various trades and occupations as at the request of Human Resources and Skills Development
- Economic Action Plan
Knowledge Infrastructure Program - working to ensure our training centres are eligible / qualify for Knowledge Infrastructure program
- Foreign Worker Program,
Language requirements for Temporary Foreign Worker program applicants. Also working with departments on innapropriate uses of Temporary foreign workers ...and working to ensure these workers are paid the same as Candian workers (wages, benefits )

An intitiative to assist veterans when returning from active military duty to transition them to a career in the construction industry.
