- Agri-Marketing Program – advocating export programs to support small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in marketing innovative food products to international markets.
- Agriculture Trade Negotiations Consultations Group (ATNCG) – providing input in the World Trade Organization negotiations and regional and bi-lateral free trade agreement negotiations as it pertains to food products.
- Chemical Management Plan – as it relates to priority substances batches with regard to chemicals present in food or food packaging
- Dept. of Foreign Affaires and International Trade (DFAIT) - Trade Controls Policy as it pertains to Chicken, Turkey, Beef & Veal Tariff Rate Quotas for imported product.
- Food Safety Enhancement Program (FSEP):FPC sits on the FSEP steering committee, supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) systems in all federally registered establishments.
- Growing Forward: The New Agricultural Policy Framework as it pertains to FPC's participation on Food Processors Competitiveness Round Table, identifying issues that impede competitiveness.
- Guide to Food Labelling and Advertising – Chapters: 4, 5, 7, 11, 14, 15
- Guide to Importing Food Products Commercially – advocating compliance and enforcement of the guide towards imported food products, ensuring a level playing field exists for domestic and imported product.
- Managing Health Claims for Foods in Canada: Towards a Modernized Framework – providing input to process regarding sound evidence for credible health claims.
- Meat Hygiene Directive – Listeria Policy in Ready-to-eat meat products. Provided feedback and questions with regards to the implementation of the Policy.
- Processed Products Establishment Inspection Manual - advocating consistent and equal enforcement of rules between federally registered plants and jurisdictions as well settle disputes between plants and inspectors.
- Product of Canada Food Labelling Guidelines – Provided feedback and questions with regards to the implementation of the guidelines.
- Scientific Research and Experimental Development Program (SR&ED program) - with respect to reducing the administrative burden
- Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America – providing input regarding the competitiveness of the Canadian food processing industry. Also, providing input to reduce United States/Canada border costs
- Sodium Reduction Group – FPC participates on Health Canada’s expert panel on dietary sodium reduction
- Trans Fat Task Force - working to meet levels in Health Canada’s task force report and compliance monitoring by government

- Food Allergen Labelling Regulations – provided input in government’s consultative process to amend the regulations with respect to Food Allergen and Gluten Sources and Added Sulphites
- Food and Drugs Regulations – Part B & D
- Meat Inspection Regulations - advocating the Government of Canada to reinstate mandatory pre-market label approval for meat products under the Meat Inspection Regulations.
- Processed Product Regulations (PPR) – Part I-XI, Schedule I-XII. Also, providing input in the rewriting of the PPR.
- Turning the Corner: Regulatory Framework for Industrial Greenhouse Gas Emissions - with respect to reporting requirements for industry

WE ARE A NATIONAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION REPRESENTING VALUE-ADDED FOOD COMPANIES. OUR FOCUS IS ON MEMBERS' INTERESTS IN SHAPING GOVERNMENT POLICY TO HELP THEM GROW THEIR BUSINESS DOMESTICALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY.
