- Implementation of National Pharmacare, specifically the ODA is supporting the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) as it engages the Government of Canada on this initiative, particularly as it concerns the taxation of health and dental benefits as a possible means of subsidizing a public program.

- COVID-19 Vaccinations, specifically the ODA continues to support the CDA ensure access to COVID-19 vaccines for dentists and their teams, with Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada as the primary lobbying targets.
- Canada's COVID-19 Economic Response Plan, specifically the ODA is supporting the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) as it engages the Government of Canada on this initiative, particularly as it concerns the Canada Emergency Response Benefit, Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy, and the Ontario-Canada Emergency Commercial Rent Assistance Program.

The Ontario Dental Association has been the leading voice of the province’s dental profession for more than 150 years. The voting members of the ODA are Councillors of the General Council, composed of representatives of each Component Society and Student Dental Society. Dentists who voluntarily join the Association, ODA Dentists and are divided into the following categories - active, affiliate, salaried, Canadian Forces, non-registered retired, second year new dentists, post-grad/intern/resident, part-time/semi-retired/registered-retired, and parental.
