- Business development funding to promote investment in the zoo, its programs and research by firms and donors in the Pacific Rim. Sources may include Western Economic Diversification.
- Cultural Spaces Canada or other funding to enhance/ upgrade our facilities for conservation education and experiential learning.
- Major capital infrastructure funding to update, renew or replace exhibits and facilities. Sources to be determined.

Description of the organization's activities
The Calgary Zoological Society's mission is to take and inspire action to sustain wildlife and wild places. Through research focusing on endangered species, educational programming for all audiences and connecting visitors with wildlife, the Calgary Zoological Society promotes conservation and encourages environmental stewardship. The vision of the Calgary Zoological Society is to be Canada's leader in wildlife conservation.

The Zoo's facilities and programs are available to everyone. As well, there are three annual membership types: gate pass holders, Engage members and Inspire members.
