THE PEMBINA INSTITUTE IS A NON PROFIT ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATION FOCUSED ON SUSTAINABLE ENERGY. THE INSTITUTE UNDERTAKES POLICY RESEARCH, ANALYSIS AND ADVOCACY, PUBLIC OUTREACH, FORMAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS, AND PROVIDES STRATEGIC AND TECHNICAL ADVISORY SERVICES.

THE PEMBINA INSTITUTE IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION INCORPORATED UNDER THE SOCIETIES ACT. THERE ARE CURRENTLY 23 MEMBERS, MANY OF WHOM ARE CURRENT OR FORMER INSTITUTE EMPLOYEES, HOLDING EITHER INDIVIDUAL OR FAMILY MEMBERSHIPS. ALL MEMBERS MUST RESIDE IN CANADA, SHARE IN THE PURPOSE OF THE INSTITUTE AND CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS ACHIEVING ITS GOALS. NEW MEMBERS MUST BE ACCEPTED AT THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING BY ALL CURRENT, ACTIVE MEMBERS PRESENT. THE MEMBERSHIP ELECTS THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND HAS THE RIGHT TO VOTE ON ALL MATTERS RAISED AT THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.
